Practice writing Spanish, one sentence a day

Mening is a daily writing practice for Spanish. Each day it sends you one task. You answer with one or more sentences in your own words, an AI tutor corrects them and explains every fix in your language, and it keeps a record of the mistakes you repeat, so a recurring one is recognised as recurring instead of looking new each time. It works on the web and in Telegram. The first two corrections a day are free; the full memory of your mistakes is €9.99 a month or €79 a year.

Start with today's task 14 days of everything free. No card.

What a correction looks like

Quiero decir una otra cosa sobre el viaje.
Quiero decir otra cosa sobre el viaje.
Otro never takes an indefinite article: otra cosa, not una otra cosa.

Questions people ask

I can read Spanish but can't write it. Is this for me?

Yes, that gap is the reason it exists. Recognising words arrives months before producing them, and only writing trains the second one. Tasks range from A1 to C2 and follow your level as you write.

Is it a Duolingo alternative?

For some people. Duolingo trains recognition with tap-and-match exercises. Mening trains production: you write, it corrects. Many learners use both. If you only want streaks and taps, it is the wrong choice.

Does it correct grammar or only spelling?

Grammar, word choice, word order, spelling and register, each marked in your sentence with a short explanation. It does not rewrite your style.

Which language are the explanations in?

Yours. You pick it at sign-up and can change it in Settings. The tasks stay in Spanish.

What happens to a mistake I keep making?

Every correction is filed under the pattern it belongs to. With Premium, a recurring pattern gets a card with every occurrence by date, the rule behind it in plain words, and tasks that give you a reason to use the form correctly; three correct uses in a row mark it "under control".
